Scott was born and raised in West Michigan and graduated from Forest Hills Central High School before studying Film & Television at Compass College of Cinematic Arts in Grand Rapids, MI. After completing a three month internship in New York City, Scott graduated with honors from Compass College. He immediately began working in New York City on the nationally syndicated program “The Better Show” as a camera / jib operator. In addition, he also operated the lighting board during the show. After leaving “The Better Show”, Scott went on to open studios at Google as a “Stage/Equipment Assistant” as well as the in-house Cinematographer at “Youtube Space New York” located above the Chelsea Market. After working at Google/ Youtube, Scott began freelancing in the New York market getting work as a Director/Cinematographer/Gaffer working on various scales of production from small independent productions to Major Motion Pictures. Some of his work on Majors include, “Spider-Man Homecoming”, “Hearts Beat Loud” and “How He Fell in Love”. He has lived and worked in New York City for 6 years and has built a sprawling network not only on the East Coast but throughout the entire country.
